I am a freelance "Imaginer," both a writer and an illustrator. I'm almost done with my first novel and I've written over 80 short stories, some of which are related tales. I've penned over 40 poems, and tossed out a few political articles & music reviews as well. An art school drop-out, I still find time to practice my first love, visual design. I often create images of the characters from my storylines.
I'm looking to interact with other writers and exchange ideas. I'm always looking to get my ideas out to a broader audience.
The Novel "Petty Like A God"
With aprox. 87,000 words completed in my first book, I still have about three chapters to finish. This will be the first book in a series of 4. The series is called "The Godlings," and it deals with the adult children of such dieties as the Grim Reaper, Father Time, Mother Nature, and The Sandman. It's set in modern day, and the kids are reflections of what it's like to be a twenty-something in the 21st century. The fact that they're semi-divine is a side note. Check out more about them on their page.
Off to the side here is a picture of "Evie," one of the characters from the novel. The photo pages are filled with illustrations, all based on story concepts I have. I invite you to take a look.
The Short Stories
I've written over 80 short stories that have appeared in various places on the internet. I specialize mostly in horror, but I often trail off into dark fantasy. My horror can be anything from quiet dread to all out splatter punk. It just depends on what I'm feeling that day. Go to the CUSTOM PAGES to read some of my selected shorts.
I've experimented with Serial Shorts, and I've received great reviews from it. One tale deals with a false Anti-Christ, "Mabus," in 10 parts. Another reaches over multiple arcs, each arc broken up into chapters. That tale is about a Chaos Avatar named "Edward Sands" and his girlfriend (the daughter of Satan) "Grace Morningstar."
Ubersite and pulseHEAD
One of the greatest things I've found on the internet is the writers' site called pulseHEAD.com. It was spawned from the larger writers' site called ubersite.com. Both have their unique places in the world, and I won't get into it here why each are different, but they both have greatly helped me as a writer. Both places are sites where you post your writing (fiction, poems, articles, reviews, opinions, humor, whatever!) and it's reviewed and rated on by the other authors on the site. This really helps to create a better writer. Since uber is about a thousand times bigger than pH, I'll link pH below... www.pulseHEAD.com
The Addiction of MySpace
MySpace is much like crack.
But worse.
I've got some stories up on there as well as many contacts. If you've got a page on there, give me a yell. If not, you should get one. As you can see to the side here, I'm your average 28 year old white male American. (with a few piercings) MySpace.com/antius777
